La Parcería
La Parcería was born in 2010 as a collective of thought, creation and action, formed by immigrants, to produce cultural and artistic projects that reclaim one’s own culture and voice as an active agent of the cultural quilt that is the city. Over many years of action has continued around the street, the barrio, the public space, like that of the relation between diverse public and private institutions, La Parcería has adopted the form of an independent cultural center since its creation was articulated and from the communities that formed it.
The Cultural Center of Experimentation and Artistic Documentation of La Parcería (CCEAD_LP) opens its doors in 2021 to embrace bodies and diverse subjectivities, which the majority are from the provinces of the global south. In this space you develop a wide variety of contemporary artistic and cultural practices, through projects that respond to the specific necessities of the social context in which it is emplaced. It is a place that can inhabit artistic residency, workshops, expositions, editions, lecture and presentations of books, music and dance, within other artistic expressions; where infancy has a prominent spot, and in which borders of age, gender and geography are erased. El CCEAD _LP is looking to generate findings and sew distinct voices, promote horizontal participation, active investigation, the care of memory and the configuration of an archive of those diverse cultural expressions.
La Parcería nace en 2010 como un colectivo de pensamiento, creación y acción, formado por personas migrantes, para la producción de proyectos culturales y artísticos que reivindican la cultura y la voz propia como agentes activos del tejido cultural de la ciudad. Tras años de acciones continuadas en torno a la calle, el barrio, el espacio público, así como en la relación con diversas instituciones públicas y privadas, La Parcería adopta la forma de un centro cultural independiente desde el cual articular su hacer y el de las comunidades que lo conforman.
El Centro Cultural de Experimentación y Documentación Artística de La Parcería (CCEDA_LP) abre sus puertas en 2021 para acoger cuerpos y subjetividades diversas, en su mayoría provenientes del sur global. En su espacio se desarrolla un amplio abanico de prácticas contemporáneas artísticas y culturales, a través de proyectos que responden a las necesidades específicas del contexto social en el que se emplaza. Es un lugar que puede ser habitado a través de residencias artísticas, talleres, exposiciones, edición, lectura y presentación de libros, músicas y danza, entre otras expresiones; donde la infancia tiene un lugar destacado, y en el que se borran las fronteras de edades, géneros o geografías. El CCEDA_LP busca generar encuentros y tejer distintas voces, promover la participación horizontal, la investigación activa, el cuidado de la memoria y la configuración de un archivo de esas expresiones culturales diversas
